Kane Lehanneur is an emerging, multidisciplinary artist working between oil & acrylic paint and printmaking techniques to engage with the complex and myriad layers of Australia’s physical and political landscapes. Based upon unceded Gayemegal land, just north of Sydney, Kanes background in design, photography and videography reflects a deep understanding of composition, balance and textured studies in his practice. Kane Lehanneur’s latest body of work ‘INBETWEENNESS’ continues an investigation into the inbetweenness of physical and immaterial becoming. The artist grapples with the limits of language and its innate inability to capture the infinite spaces between life and thereafter. The exhibition, then, becomes a journal, a material documentation of one’s journey in a life undergoing constant transformation.
