The self-taught former Milan-ite cum Miami local has long crafted his signature style. Choosing to reject traditional techniques in place of brut art strategies, “I use whatever I can use to make that mark,” he says. “It’s not even a brush stroke.”

An avid self-determinist and method man, Fattovich has constructed an art bunker on his property; hiding away from the outside world, he focuses on raw, gestural swoops of colour. Channeling an energy untapped by external influences, his work is honest and alluring. Conversational at times, argumentative at others — every work feels like an exchange.
