At the Above is looking to find out too. Zen Theory + Sensory Experience + The Aesthetic World = IDLE. IN RESIDENCY + INSTALLATION = ATA PRESENTS. Such equations may be diametrically opposite (forgive us Idle) but we are simply trying to explain reality, nothing, that there is no reality.
IDLE fragrances reject traditional perfumery’s structures, conventions, trends, and economic compromises. Instead, we craft abstract scent compositions designed to inspire personal and open-ended experiences. Just as an abstract painting invites unrealized potentials, their fragrances ask nothing of their wearer except to engage and explore. They are uncompromising in their intent, offering a new way to connect with and experience the world.
NO-MIND
A mind that transcends all measurement, discursive thought, concept or idea, shape or form, it is beyond duality–not one and not two–and has absolute freedom from attachment, neither a superimposition of ideas nor a psychological projection. Ever-present, without beginning or end–it is suchness, boundless, like the vacuity of space, in a state of original emptiness and total awareness.
Structure: Both futuristic and monastic. We focused on the idea of non-duality and how we could explore contrasting scent perceptions within the same fragrance to create the illusion of separation while experiencing the wholeness of a composition.
